Q. How do I get contracted with HUB Capital Inc.?
A. The contracting processes are different for segregated funds and mutual funds. To write segregated fund business requires that you become contracted through our life division. Our contracting department can assist you in this and so can your marketing representative. To write mutual funds you will have to become contracted in a different manner. Your marketing representative, our compliance officers and the transition team will help you with this process

Q. Do I require a contract with each carrier or manufacturer?
A. When you write segregated funds we contract you directly with each carrier. When you write a segregated fund application, we will assist you in completing the appropriate paperwork. You do not require an individual contract with each manufacturer to write mutual funds.

Q. Can I transfer my existing business to HUB?
A. Generally the answer is yes. The rules differ for segregated funds and mutual funds so please contact your contracting representative or the transition team for assistance.

Q. Do I own the business that I write through HUB?
A. Absolutely. For segregated funds we will require you to complete a contract for each carrier that you write business with. This contract, between you and the carrier, provides that you own your block of business and governs vesting, business transfer and licensing requirements. For mutual funds, your block can be transferred to another dealer under standard industry rules.

Q. How is the business that I write through HUB vested?
A. Vesting is covered under the terms of your contract with each carrier and under the terms of your HUB Capital contract. For most carriers, business vests immediately in your name.

Q. Where do I send my investment applications?
A. Applications and transfer requests should be sent to your local HUB office to the attention of “Investment Processing”

Q. Who do I speak with regarding follow–ups on my investment business?
A. Each region has Investment Product Administrators assigned. This person is your number one administrative contact. They will field all questions pertaining to the administration of your business.

Q. How do I get a quote for annuities?
A. Once you login you can select “My Office” option on the left navigation bar, then click on Cannex.
